I am the Director of the Centre for Philosophy of the Sciences and an Associate Professor in the School of Philosophy at the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University.
I am a philosopher of biology with a particular interest in the evolution of cognition and behaviour, the role of development in evolution, and the methodologies of the life sciences. I love collaborating with other scholars, and have worked with philosophers, evolutionary biologists, psychologists, archaeologists, and comparative psychologists. I am also interested in public understanding of science. If you are interested in working with me, please reach out (email above!). I am also the Chair of the National Committee for History and Philosophy of Science at the Australian Academy of Science, an Associate Editor for Biology & Philosophy, and on the Editorial Board of Acta Biotheoretica.
